ARTIST STATEMENT
Growing up in Stratford, Connecticut, I had a fascination with the built environment. This fascination drew me beyond my home town to the city and the country. Cities, for their dynamism, robust architecture and grittiness, and the countryside for its solitude, backroads, and traditional buildings. I particularly enjoyed the blending of urban and rural, such as a wild bit of nature in the city or a mill town nestled in a wooded valley.
My love of art and cities brought me to Parsons School Of Design and New York University’s Urban Planning Program. I enjoyed a challenging career at the New York City Department of City Planning enhancing the city I love through promoting quality urban design and inviting public spaces. Now my home is in Brooklyn, and I continue to express my love for cities and the countryside through my art.
In the summer of 2024 I became an Affiliate Member of the Pictor Gallery on West 27th Street in Chelsea. I invite you to stop by to see the diverse artwork of all our members.
